    Hello,

I recently moved my blog to site ground from wordpress. All the blog posts have been successfully transferred.

    My problems are –

    1. My newly published posts on wordpress template on site ground do not show up on the wordpress reader. I am afraid I will loose all my followers and readers on wordpress. How can my posts be visible on wordpress reader?

    2. With the transfer of the blog, my previous stats and email subscribers have not been moved either. How can they be tansferred?

I paid for medium package for wordpress transfer on site ground.
My wordpress blog url is – http://www.simplyvegetarian777.wordpress.com
My new blog url is –

Please help and guide me. I have been struggling to find these answers since last 2 days and really hoping for some help and support here since site ground does not have answers for this.

Be aware that the WordPress.COM Reader and the WordPress.COM categories and Tags pages are for the use of only WordPress.COM blogs. If you choose to move your blog content to another host and it is not longer hosted by wordpress.COM, then that site is not a part of the WordPress.COM hosted blog community. Consequently, your published posts on that site will not display on the WordPress.COM categories and tags pages.

    more on 1.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    re: 2
If you want to move subscribers from a wordpress.COM hosted blog to a self hosted site then install and activate the Jetpack plugin first, and then you follow these instructions https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/#wordpress-com-to-self-hosted-site

If you also want wordpress.COM staff to move your stats for you then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Anything you paid Siteground for is a Siteground issue. It is not a wordpress.COM issue and you need to contact Siteground staff about it. https://www.siteground.com/support

We provide support only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs. We do not provide support for wordpress.ORG software installs here, so note that for any future WordPress.ORG issues, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

  • Hi @simplyvegetarian and @livingbipolarlife,

Please use these steps to transfer your followers first:
    http://jetpack.me/support/subscription-migration-tool/

If you run into trouble with that, let us know and we’ll help.

Once your followers have been trasnsferred, they will see your new posts in their WordPress.com reader. Let us know if you have more questions. Cheers!
