feed issues, href id issues
-
This message has been appearing on right sidebar, front page, for months, can’t seem to resolve it. Also, when my blog address is posted in another blogger’s site, I see “feed is down, try again later”.
“Could not retrieve id for the specified page. Please verify correct href was passed in.”
First, are these two connected? Second, in non-techy language, can you help me fix the problem(s)?

I don’t know quite what you mean by the first issue, but I was able to see the red box with the “could not retrieve ID” message in the sidebar of your blog.
That is actually a message from Facebook, that’s where you have the Facebook like box widget, which you can see here:

Here’s a screenshot of what I saw: http://cl.ly/0c112r2s3M1p1x2Z433C
In the “Facebook page URL” field you’ve entered
http://www.facebook.com.cuhomewhich obviously isn’t a page. I also visitedhttp://www.facebook.com/cuhomethinking that’s what you meant but that’s not a page either. In that field you have to put the address to your Facebook page, if you have one, for example I would put http://www.facebook.com/matt.mullenweg .
If you just want to get rid of the widget altogether, click on the widget title, then “delete” at the bottom of the box.

Ok. I just deleted the box on the href ID issue, because I couldn’t really understand how to fix it.
But, the other isue was this: on My Feed, right sidebar, I see “An error has occurred. Your feed is probably down. Try again later.” Of course, when I try to go to my feed, nothing is there. What could be happening, and how can I fix that? Thanks!

I can’t find that on any of your widgets in the sidebar.
Typically that just means that the feed was unavailable when our system tried to fetch it, so it should clear up eventually, as long as the owner of the feed is aware of the problem of course.
