Feed not updating

  Hello, When I post a new podcast episode, my feed doesn’t display the right content. For example, in the feed here (https://lowtechinstitute.wordpress.com/category/lecture-series/feed/) podcast episodes 1–7 show the description for podcast episode number 12, which was about home brewing. If you click through any of the affected episodes, they have different text, yet the text on the RSS feed (and therefore podcast apps) show the wrong episode. This has also spread to my secondary podcast feed here (https://lowtechinstitute.wordpress.com/category/lecture-series/feed/). How do I do this so that I don’t have this problem? Thanks, Scott

  Hi there,

  I don’t see a podcast feed configured on your site. If you want a podcast feed to publish to iTunes you need to set it in your media settings, here:

  The two links you provided are identical, so I don’t see what secondary feed you’re speaking of. Those links each also only shows one post for me – it seems you only have one post in the category “Lecture Series” on your site:

  https://lowtechinstitute.wordpress.com/category/lecture-series/

  So I don’t see the problem you are describing. Could you perhaps take a screen shot for me and upload that to your site’s media library? That way I can see exactly what you are seeing.

  Hi and thanks for your help!
  First, I put the wrong feed. The podcast one is here: https://lowtechinstitute.wordpress.com/category/podcast/feed/
  It is just a regular RSS feed I run through feedburner because I use a category label to split my blog’s RSS feed from the podcasts’ feeds. Here’s a screenshot of the problem repeating body text.

  If you go to the feed and click on any of the links for episodes 1–7, you can see the content of the page does not match what is on the RSS feed.

  Thanks for clarifying.

  Your feed is showing the text that’s set as the custom excerpts for those posts. You appear to have the same excerpt set on a number of your posts:

  https://cloudup.com/cac-1GvtZts

  Remove or update the custom excerpt, and it should get fixed on your feed as well.
