Feed problems
-
Hi,
I’ve been encountering problems with my RSS feed lately. I have a podcast on my site http://www.wilsonsdachboden.com, the feed URL is https://www.wilsonsdachboden.com/podcast/lichtspielplatz/feed (it uses the ‘lichtspielplatz’ category to filter the correct content). If you access the feed, you can see all current episodes up to #49, which was posted on Saturday.
However, when FeedBlitz processes the feed, episodes #48 and #49 don’t show up. I’ve contacted their support, but they recommended I contact WordPress. I can re-sync their feed, and then episodes #48 and #49 DO show up for a few minutes before they disappear again. As iTunes etc. use the processed FeedBlitz feed to publish my podcast, this means that the recent episodes don’t get published.
What can I do to resolve this problem? Is there something in the current entries that might cause a problem with a service like FeedBlitz? Thanks,
Christian GenzelSite: http://www.wilsonsdachboden.com.

Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com but instead a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere. We cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. But, I can get you pointed in the right direction.
Since this a core feature of the WordPress software, if your RSS feed shows the latest episodes after you publish – which can be found at this URL – then the problem would be on FeedBlitz’s end as they would need to recognize the update when it’s published. There’s nothing special you would need to do in WordPress – if it’s showing at your feed URL with the most up to date information, any feedcatcher should pick up on the changes.
If you still have trouble, please reach out to the WordPress community for guidance as they may have some suggestions as well:
