Feed showing full post, not excerpt – Big Brother Theme

    I’m using the Big Brother theme and am seeing the full posts show up in my feeds rather than the excerpts. The setting under “reading” is set to show excerpts.

    Also, similarly, the settings under “reading” for what to include with each post are all unchecked, yet it’s displaying all the categories, author, etc in the feeds.

    Is there something overriding these settings? Or is there a way to override them?

    Ah ok, thanks Timethief.

    So Are those settings in the Reading section of the Settings menu only applied to the RSS feed?

    I guess what I’m asking, is with the non-premium version of this theme is there a way to control the format of the posts as they show in the blogrolls? (like the home page for instance, or category specific pages?)

    Hi there,

    This is what I see when I go to your RSS Feed:

    As you can see, it is indeed loading just an excerpt of your posts. Unfortunately there isn’t any way to customize your feed beyond that at this time (though at some point we hope to provide additional customization tools).

    As for your other question, do you mean your front page or as it appears on other sites? If you mean the front of your site, that is actually a function more of your theme then back-end settings. Some themes display only excepts, some can be set to display excerpts, some always show the full content of your post (unless you use the More Tag, that is).

    I want to put static page with Sticky posts Slider and table both as a home page. How can I do that.
    Slider possible only with recent post page. While static page doesnt contain slider.
    Table will contain ‘photo images with text below it which should link to other pages of major project.
