Feed showing Full Text instead of Excerpt

  Hello,

  I have my WordPress feed settings selected as excerpt only, but the RSS feed continues to show the full text. Help!

  hi,

  Can you tell us your site url ?
  Do your posts contain more than 55 words ?
  The summary setting for feeds shows the first 55 words (not the excerpt).

  Yes, it is http://www.becomingthegoodsoil.com
  My posts contain much more than 55 words, but even though I have it set to show a summary it continues to show the entire post.

  Your website does not look like it is hosted on WordPress.com.
  We’re able to help only with websites hosted on WordPress.com.

  To clear up any confusion, there are 2 versions of WordPress. WordPress.com is a managed environment different from using the open source WordPress installation. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two, different entities.
