Feed Stats through Feedburner
-
Since this loss of feed stats I have attempted to go through Feedburner. It seems as if unless you have WordPress 2.x, Feedburner is useless because all of my capabilities of tracking my readers gets lost in the transition. I was wondering if anyone had any tips in recovering this capabilities through Feedburner or any other feedstat tracker? Also, is that extremely bad blog etiquette to request my readers to use my Feedburner URL? Any help would be good. Sorry if these questions have been asked.

Best bet actually would be just to remove any mention of your wp feed URLs and just display the feedburner ones.

Some themes place WP feed links in your site by default. Of course every thread dealing with removing feed stats has been closed to comments. I suppose no one wants to hear user criticism, only the usual rejoicing for everything WP.
If anyone is listening. Many of us really, really need the feed stats to determine the number of ACTUAL readers. It was far more important than the web stats.

And apparently even if you remove the WP feed link, the link still works on feedreaders.

Yeah, anybody using their reader’s autodiscovery feature will get the WP feed. The only way people will subscribe to the FeedBurner feed is by clicking the link. It’s a real pain in the butt.
I miss feed stats…

Although I emphasize, I know there’s no point in creating long threads of “bring back the feed stats” discontent for volunteers to read. Please communicate your feelings to staff as they are the only ones who can change this. http://wordpress.com/contact-support/
