Feed Subscribe Issues
-
I received a comment from a reader where they are trying to subscribe to my feed- and the page looks like code instead of normal. I went to my blog and checked both the Feed button above the header and the link on my sidebar; both worked fine for me.
Have you come across this issue before? Any suggestions I may pass along? Thanks for your help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I out your feeds through the Feed Validator and got the same results as I got for my own and for another wordpress.com blogger’s feeds too.
Congratulations!

Thank you for your help. The blog who wants to subscribe buts receives gibberish code instead is an aol user. Not sure if this makes a difference, but thought I would mention it.
I will watch for a reply as well, timethief. Thanks.

If you mean that you will be watching this thread for a reply then you misunderstood me. Just in case that is the case I recommend that you do file a support ticket with Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

As an update, staff has never responded further than saying this is resolved. I have no way of knowing if it effects any feeds, other than the fact that I have to use my wordpress url instead of my own domain url, which I reported to staff.

I’m wondering if hte blog reader is using Chrome? Because there’s a known issue with Chrome and WP.com feeds.

TT: As an experiment, since we have the same message on the feed checker, I tried to get your feed on my site and this is the message I got.
An error has occurred; the feed is probably down. Try again later.
I tried to get a feed for another site and got it without a problem.
Maybe I need to ask staff again…

@Sandra
Here’s the Feed Validator link. I just ran my feed and your feed through and both validate. http://beta.feedvalidator.org/ -
TT: I thought I left a message here, but I don’t see it so I will add this again.
Regardless of what the validator says, I cannot get your RSS feed, however I can get other feeds. My feed also does not work when I try it on another blog. It will only work if I use the wordpress url instead of my domain name.
When I checked the feed validator today, it says valid but with the same message that it won’t necessarily connect with the full range of feed readers.
Congratulations!

I’m going to report this to staff again because mind is definitely not working from another blog.
Thanks!
