Hi everyone,
We’re currently facing an issue with linking our website feedback forms and comments to our designated email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)). We’re using WPForms Lite and WP Mail SMTP, but emails aren’t being sent successfully. The error message states:
‘SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.’
We’ve configured the SMTP settings as follows:
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
Encryption: SSL
Port: 465
SMTP Username: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
SMTP Password: [entered correctly]
Despite this, emails from forms and comments don’t reach the intended inbox. We’d appreciate guidance on resolving this authentication issue. Is there something we’re missing in the SMTP or Gmail settings?Thanks in advance for any help!
