Feedback on AI Help

Want to start off by saying that before I started the interaction with the AI chat bot that I have never found any AI help chat bot to be in any way actually helpful.

Had gotten annoyed at the new change to the edit window so went to try find out how to send feedback to WordPress.

At first, the chat bot seemed to actually be helpful (or at least more helpful than other bots, still had to rephrase questions). It told me to find the feedback button and that it could direct me to it. This was an hallucination, but the bot quickly corrected itself once it was pointed out that I couldn’t find it and it couldn’t figure out how to direct me.

It then suggested I send a message to the help email. I’m not a paid member so I had questions about how can I guarantee that my email won’t be auto-routed to trash. It then gave me this reply after a few go arounds to get it to actually answer my question:

“Since this is about ensuring your feedback reaches the right people rather than getting lost, and given your legitimate concern about how non-paid accounts might be treated, would you like me to connect you with human support? They could clarify how feedback is actually handled and ensure your interface suggestions get to the right team.”

I said yes and this is the answer I got: “It sounds like you want to talk to a human. Human support is only available for our paid plans. For community support, visit our forums”

When I asked why it told me it could connect me with a human when it couldn’t, I got this answer: “It sounds like you want to talk to a human. Human support is only available for our paid plans. For community support, visit our forums”

Please don’t offer AI chat bot assistance if it’s going to give hallucinatory answers. Does nothing but frustrate and anger people already likely frustrated and angry from the issue that pushed them to the AI chat bot in the first place.

This is also another reason why I’m now considering switching blog providers instead of what I had been doing: considering becoming a paid member.
