Feedback on my blog – Only Little

    Welcome some feedback on my blog which I have had up now for two weeks.

    Anything I have left out in terms of using WordPress and anything I could be doing better.

    (1) Your blog looks to me like you are off to a great start. If your need any help with activating your other widgets you could refer to this http://bloggersblurt.wordpress.com/2006/09/17/widget-wizardry/.
    (2) drmike has provided a blog with ideas for promoting your blog here http://pimpmyblog.wordpress.com
    Additional ideas although most are repetitive can be obtained from using the forum search box and looking for “attracting readers to my blog” or “promoting my blog” or similar phrases. There are many threads on this subject area.
    (3) IMO the best feedback you can get on your blog may come from yourself and may be obtained by visiting other blogs on the same subject – raising babies – comparing your blog to others, and also by leaving comments on the blogs you find.
    (a) If you look at the top of this page you will see “Tags” and if you click on it you will reach a wordpress.com page with a tag cloud where you can locate other blogs on the same subject and visit them.
    (b) Also on your dashboard you will find a “Tag Surfer” feature that will help you quickly home in on other blogs like your own.
    (c) Using internet search engines like google will help you find “baby bloggers” at other blog sites and forums as well.
    Lastly, I’d like to draw your attention to this sickening fact pertaining to photos of undressed children – paedophiles particularly search for these so it’s in your best interest to be very selective when choosing which baby photos are most suitable for posting.

    YES, she’s using thumbnails. The sites I visit that have these monstrously huge pictures.

    Thanks for the thanks. It’s a lovely blog and I’m sure you’ll meet other baby bloggers soon enough.
    Ummmm…. and if you don’t mind me saying so, it’s in your best interest not to use your real name on the forum and not to place any information in your blog that can be used to locate you.
    I hope you find that helpful and not well, preachy. :)
