Feedback on My First Website & a Few Beginner Questions”

    Hi everyone! 👋 I’m new to WordPress and just launched my first website using WordPress.com. I’m super excited to share it and also get some feedback and advice from the amazing community here.

    🔗 My website: example.wordpress.com (Just a placeholder!) 💼 It’s a basic site for my digital marketing services. I used the Astra theme with a free plan to keep it simple.

    I’ve learned a lot from the tutorials and zero-to-hero guides, but I still have a few beginner-level questions:

    ❓ My Questions: General Settings – What’s the best practice for setting the tagline if I don’t want it to show on the site but still want SEO benefits?

    Homepage – I used a static homepage with Elementor blocks. Is that better than a default blog-style homepage for service-based websites?

    Site Speed – Any tips to optimize load time on WordPress.com free plans?

    Fonts and Colors – I can’t seem to fully customize them without upgrading. Is there a workaround for basic styling?

    🛠️ I’m also open to constructive feedback on layout, text, or design choices. I’m building this as my freelance portfolio site and want it to look professional yet simple.
