Feedburner not pushing email updates
-
Like the user who submitted their question back in 2008 (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/email-updates-not-working?replies=7), I created a feedburner link to my new blog, added the feedburner exactly as instructed. The link works and feedburner has recorded 5 subscriptions (3 are my own emails for testing). However, we have yet to receive any emails when new updates are posted to the blog.
Any ideas?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s really a question for feedburner but I’ve had the same issue too and in feedburner when you set deliver options of the e-mail, I just set in on a different time zone like PST instead of EST. Also check the time zone on your email they might not match up so you have to wait longer to receive the email. Anyways, this is the advice feedburner gave me and it worked.

For the life of me, I can’t see where in feedburner, for my feed, that I can change anything about it other than the Edit Feed Details which only allows changing the name, original feed, and feed address. I’ve tried pining and synchronizing – both which say they were successful but, alas, still no feed to any of the 3 email accounts I set up (on different email providers).

Publicize > Email Subscrptions > Delivery options
Remember, Feedburner delivers email only once per 24 hours. So if you set it to deliver, say, between 5 and 7am EDT, and your post is published at 8am, then it will be emailed until the next day. If you publish (or schedule it to publish) at 4am, your post will be delivered the same day. I’ve never had any problem once I figured this out.

This is something you should be getting support from the Feedburner support forums. –> FeedBurner Help Group

Is it really feedburner’s full problem?
I have the exact same issue. this fails:
http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3a%2f%2fkothea.wordpress.com%2ffeed.xml
so the problem seems to be with an invalid http://mysite.wordpress.com/feed/ or /feed.xml
maybe linked to how google have taken over feedburner? as i can’t create a feedburner account (now that is their problem i know!!!!)

hmm and in fact if i try to validate my other site torqprojects.wordpress.com then that does validate so their is something wrong on my site. I will ask support.

The feed validation issue is due to errors in your blog. The W3C validator reports 68 errors on your blog main page.
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fkothea.wordpress.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0&user-agent=W3C_Validator%2F1.654Go to settings > writing, select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and click save changes. Then open each post on your main page in the post editor, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, click the update post button. How many you will have to open and do this procedure with depends on how many posts you have set to show on your RSS feed at settings > reading.
The change at settings > writing should keep this issue from coming up in the future.

Thanks everyone. Dumb me. I literally pasted in what was provided – including DOMAIN (rather than schreiberfamily). A little change and, voila, it’s posting. A little note in the very detailed instructions that says, “replace DOMAIN with your blog name / URL” would help. TY
Here’s my posted “confession”: http://schreiberfamily.wordpress.com/2009/07/04/email-updates-working/
