Feedburner problem with new version of WP

  • Unknown's avatar

Sorry if this is repetitious…I’ve posted this before and then the e-mail came in, so I canceled the question. Now, I’m seeing that each time I post, the email from feedburner comes in at inconsistent times–hours late. I’ve read through the feedburner forum and discovered that this same problem occurred with an earlier release of WP (2.5.1, I think). It was a wordpress issue, and had to be corrected from the wordpress end, not the feedburner end. I have no idea how to fix this, and am hoping someone can help!

    Thanks :)

I haven’t had any trouble with my feedburner emails being delivered. Have you looked at the feedburner side and the time you have the daily email to be sent?

  • Unknown's avatar

there’s a setting in your feed burner account that you can
set so the email is delivered at a chosen time frame that
    you have chosen.

yes, I’ve done both of those things. I have the correct time-zone set in Feedburner, and the correct timeframe set for delivery. Still no timely e-mails. Everything was fine until the day WordPress had the new release. I’m stumped.

this doesn’t sound like a issue on the wordpress side it sounds
more like a issue feed burner is having on there end Have you
check out there support forum ? maybe by posting over there you
can get a more accurate answer.

Thank you…I went to that link but don’t see a phone number or e-mail to contact them. I clicked on the “Contact Support” link and it just takes me to the same page.???

I assume that would be because Holiday hours are in effect
    Dec 26: Closed
Dec 27: Support opens at 10 a.m. EST

However, I’m having no trouble at all with my feedburner email updates so I would suggest that you go through the feedburner end of things, login to feedburner and make sure the problem is not at their end, while you are waiting.

Seemed for a year or so like Feedburner reliably sent mail to my WordPress.Com subscribers at or shortly after 10:30pm. Maybe that’s just after midnight Newfoundland time, I figured, but I could live with that. Some things (especially in computing) just aren’t meant to be understood.

But my blog’s Feedburner mailing which I expected would be done around 10:30pm Monday did not get done until just after 12:30am Wednesday morning.

Has the Feedburner server just moved from Newfoundland to Chicago in search of colder weather?

Users all over are reporting problems with Feedburner lately.

So now I know I have to tell both WordPress and Feedburner that I’m in the US Eastern time zone — did that yesterday — and also tell Feedburner to send my emails in a particular window — which yesterday I set to 1am-3am. Results: yesterday’s post got labeled by WordPress as 11:30am Central time, and the email got sent at 11:30pm Eastern time. Close enough I guess. And both are a great service for the price!
