feedburner vs RSS feed stats

I’m trying to decide whether to stay with the the wordpress RSS feed or get a feedburner feed.

There are a lot of threads on collecting feed stats and it’s confusing. wordpress.com is bringing back feed stats so my question is: will total blog subscribers return and when will it return?

If total blog subscribers in feed stats returns, is there any reason to use feedburner to collect stats? (I realize I may want to use feedburner to capture email subscribes)

Who says they’re bringing back feed stats?

I’d love some help on this as well. I’ve got a Feedburner feed, but it does not seem to be working. It tells me I have one subscriber, and I know for a fact I have more. Not many more, but more.

I really like how WP does stats for the blog itself, but would love to know more about the subscription readers.

I am glad Cparente you mention your concerns with Feedburner. I have noticed that some days Feedburner shows the numbers of my subscribers I know about (family & friends) then the next day it shows no one is subscribed.

I do however love the email subscribing option I have been able to place on my blog.
