Feeding excerpts from posts on one WordPress

Hey, I think I already know the answer to this question, but I just wanted to make sure because I don’t know much about the WordPress 3.0 capabilities. I want to create an umbrella community blog for my organization that will link to individual blogs we are the administrators of. I’d like to create a page that will feed the posts (maybe not the entire posts, but an excerpt that will drive them to the individual’s site) from the individual blogs unto the main page of the blog, with the headline ” Latest posts from the community.” From reading some of the community forums and the help section, it doesn’t seem like this is possible. But is there a way to make it work? I’d really like to have a feature like that, kind of like how Facebook allows you to import a blog feed and have the content appear in the “Notes” section. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The answer is: if you’re using WordPress 3.0 you’re in the wrong forum and need to be at WordPress.ORG, as our software here works differently.

If you’re talking about http://literallynothingtosay.wordpress.com/ however, the answer is: feed content cannot be automatically added to a blog at WordPress.com. You can put it in an RSS widget, but not in the actual content column. This is an anti-spammer maneuver by staff.

Okay, I figured as much; just thought I’d check to make sure. Thanks for the quick response!
