Female Newbie Trying To Organize Her Work Before It's Too Late!! Help!!

    I’m new to wordpress as a website design platform but I gave it a try. So far I have a few pages up but I’m confused. Do I still need to have a hosting service? Also, because of my hosting service account where I have rosannamccoy.com when I created my wordpress site I used rosannamccoy.com/wordpress just to be safe… But now I see that it does not display properly online. How can I change that without losing all the work I’ve put in so far?
    I also see that my wordpress blog (that I rarely posted to) did not connect to this site. I would like it to be connected since it has my work on it from the past… How can I link that to this current site? (I’m sorry I’m 54 years old and I forget things sometimes…)

    Also I was asked to create site which I can host as a subdomain from my hosting plan…. I started I’m trying to find the storefront theme and I can’t find it… What’s going on??? I need things to be consistent so I’m not all confused…
