  Hi, we are moving over to a new website system – so was wondering how best do we manage the transition. Our new site may not be ready until March, so can we automatically renew our current account – but cancel as soon as the new site is ready – which is likely to be March? Will we be able to recoup some of the £85 overall yearly cost? Thanks Tom

  Hi there,

  You don’t own any upgrades on WordPress.com. The Premium Plan for http://bellevueartsfestival.wordpress.com/ belongs to the user, supplet, and the domain mapping upgrade belongs to the user, newsoftheshrews, so I’ll need those users to contact us regarding any arrangements for those upgrades.

  I can tell you the domain mapping upgrade is renewed until 2018, so your domain will keep working until you point it to your new host. The Premium Plan expires on 22 March, at which time your new site will probably be ready.

  So if you don’t want to renew the plan, the user who owns the supplet account will need to get in touch so we can disable the automatic renewal for that plan.

  Thanks – we will get in touch to disable the WordPress account, before the 22nd March renewal date

  Hi Tom,

  Just to be clear, the Premium Plan has autorenew active, so it will renew around 22 February. I can disable that, but only at the user, supplet’s request. Let me know if you need any more help with this.

  Yes – as long as we cancel within 30th days of the 22nd Feb we should be fine.
