few questions about post by email

    please confirm about the following given at “post by email”(1)

    * the placement of shortcodes is irrelevant?
    * placement of shortcodes can be on top or bottom of post content only?
    * i can create post content using html code only? (i am learning html, want to use as much as possible)

    Hi there,

    You can add shortcodes anywhere you wish, including between two existing paragraphs of text, and it will be rendered in the correct order on the published post.

    Please note that not all shortcodes will work, only the ones mentioned here: https://wordpress.com/support/post-by-email/#shortcodes

    You can use plain text or HTML (or both) without issue. We will attempt to retain as much HTML formatting as possible, although the Post by Email system will strip unnecessary or invalid HTML tags so that your email is displayed correctly.

    If you are learning HTML this can sometimes lead to issues when you miss a small bit of HTML syntax, which can render it technically invalid. If you find HTML format is missing after you send your post via email, I would check first to make sure the HTML you entered in the original email is correct.
