FF3 Admin Bar Lost
-
After upgrading to FF3 the WordPress-Admin Bar is lost on my site ( http://Wir-sprechen-Online.com ). It’s reappears when I’m here at the forums or at /wp-admin/.

Try doing the Cookie Dance; log out, clear cache and cookies, restart. That might help. If not, report it to staff via the Support button on your dashboard.

I’m using FF3 at this very moment (with XP) and my admin bars are fine, here and on my sites. I don’t know what to tell you, except that I am not experiencing what you are. Sorry.

I upgraded to FF3 had the same problem I deleted the cookies and cache and restarted
the browser and it fixed the problem….. -
Thanks. After deleting cookies/cache and restarting FF3 it works again.

True. It’s faster and uses less memory (as far as I can see). But FF3 needs more CPU-power than before (about 15%).

I appreciate that it’s quicker and uses less memory, and that’s it’s not as similar to IE5/6 as FF2 was. And it finally renders all of my primary site. Now it’s almost, but not quite, like IE7 so for most everything I’ll stick with IE.
FF wins hands down, though, for extensions.

for my readers…. Firefox3 Download -
make sure to uninstall all you’re add on’s because FF3 isn’t compatible
with most of the add on’s yet…. -
thanks teck 07, but it seems im going to have to try tomorrow. Its just not letting me on the site. Also thanks for the heads up about the plug-ins, i need several of them(web tools). Might have to wait a little longer before i go FF3

Your welcome dlager,
sorry to hear you can’t access the site I’m not experiencing
that problem… Tip of the day search for the add on’s that
you have and if there ready for FF3 the person that made
the add on will state they updated it in section were you
can see reviews on the add on also there is plenty of other
add on’s that can preform the same thing as the add on’s
you have now or even some times the different add on
will perform more functions… =)~Teck~

Some numbers I found:
FF2: CPU-usage: about 25%, physical memory: about 350 MB, virtual memory: about 1.5 GB
FF3: CPU-usage: about 40% (!), physical memory: about 130 MB, virtual memory: about 1 GB
Measurement by Mac OS X using the same number of browser windows (3) and Tabs (12). I’m not yet sure if this is better or worse. It’ll get interesting when I’m working with big files (Video, Photo) or statistical software.
All in all FF3 feels faster than FF2.
