Fictive
-
Hi, I am using the fictive theme and it appears lovely. One problem though: I want to remove the gravatar that is set against the header/background. I read in the forums that you can remove or leave the e-mail address slot blank in the users>personal settings page. I did but the page does not save these changes, an error message comes up saying e-mail address is incorrect.
I will be glad if anyone can help. the blog in question is writerstation.wordpress.com
thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Removing the email address works for me. Clear you browser cache please http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/ and try again.
By default, Fictive uses the email address found under Users → Personal Settings to generate the Gravatar seen in the header. If you want to use a different Gravatar account, you can put in an email address in the Gravatar Email field, or leave it blank to remove the Gravatar entirely. No joy unfortunately, it seems leaving the e mail field blank is not working-same error message; could it be because I use the same email address to log into wordpress admin panel?

WordPress.com accounts and Gravatar accounts are one in the same. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Cool thanks, I have deleted browsing history going back to the beginning.
On another note, I like using the gravatar to make comments on other blogs, if I change the email address or leave a blank field in personal settings, will I be able to comment on other blogs?
thanks a lot, will wait to hear if there is a way around this gremlin -
Hello there!
This can be accomplished by a modification to your CSS file so long as you have an active Custom Design upgrade. The upgrade costs $30 a year, and lets you easily customize your blog’s appearance with advanced tools.
