Field 'Username' in Account Settings is empty, and I can't create a blog

  I joined wordpress.com a couple of days ago and never succeeded in creating a blog. Now I see that the field ‘Username’ in my Account Settings is empty. I suppose this is the reason that I cannot create a blog. I also cannot update any information in my account settings because the ‘Save Account Settings’ button is greyed out.

  But I can use my username to login to wordpress.com without any issues (so I do not need to use my email address).

  Solution found: I found another post solving my issue.
