File deleted, but still published. Personal information at risk.

    I have deleted a pdf file and the site that contains it (https://marinafamaral.wordpress.com) and it still appears if I type the file direct url. It’s very important this file to do not appear anymore, it contains personal information about my family and I’ve already asked google to delete ir from its index. The site doesn’t exists anymore but the pdf file it’s still there.

    Hey there. That’s certainly troubling. I’m not going to ask for the link you found still works, since this is a public forum. I’ve tagged this post for a WordPress.com employee to come assist as they can work with you privately to make sure the issue is dealt with.

    The staff does a good job of getting to these posts, but there are a ton of them that need their attention, so please be patient while you wait for their response. If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to this thread so you’ll know when they respond.

    Hi there,
    What is the PDF file URL please?
    When did you delete the blog?

    Know that it can take up to 3 days for media files to be removed from WordPress.COM servers so they produce a 404 page not found.
