  when downloading wordpress it downloads as an unreadable folder. When I try to upload this to cpanel it fails to do so as it is a folder. I have no idea how to get it working. Please help

  If you’re trying to install WordPress on a hosting provider, they most likely have a one-click installer for WordPress in cPanel already, look for a cPanel model in your hosting account’s control panel called Softaculous or Fantastico, or maybe even WordPress.

  WordPress.com does not comes with cPanel.
  Seems like your website address is hosted with open source WordPress.org .

  It is better to contact your hosting provider so that they can assist you with this query.
