File exceeds max upload size
-
I just deleted 2 years worth of posts because I get the following error message when attempting to upload a photo; This file exceeds the maximum upload size for this site. Still getting the same message, I thought maybe the photo is too big, yet its size is only 2.6mb. What can be the problem?
Thanks!!!

Hi @stevenspring I see your site has been around for a long time.
Have a look in your site’s Media Library and see how much room you have used. Depending on which dashboard you’re in, it will either be at the top right on the Default/WordPress.com view or if you’re in the Classic view, it will be at the top left under the words “Media Library”.
Also, if you’ve only recently permanently deleted many images at once, it may take a little time for those media deletions to reflect in the storage space available. https://wordpress.com/support/trash/#additional-info-for-deleted-media
Let us know how that goes.

and please be aware that deleting posts will NOT delete the pictures in the posts from your library.
