File names as titles below the pictures?

Hi there,
There is no theme on WordPress.com that does this. The only way to have the file names show below your images is to add them as captions when you add the images to posts/galleries.

On my other site which is powered by Mantra I used a plugin from Webdorado (Photo gallery) that can do that, but as I can’t edit anything in this theme Twenty Sixteen and for some reason I can’t even install plugins, I’m stuck.
I can’t even remove the space around the header, maybe I missed something but as it stands now the page is static. -

That explains everything, thank you so much for that information!
I have my other sites on a hosting server and created the WordPress sites from within that host, I actually didn’t think that would make it different but it is, and the difference is huge, so again thank you for that important information!

You’re very welcome :)
And the difference is significant if you need the control self-hosted offers, yes.
