  Hi, I am wordpress.com user with no much control over editing or adding anything into theme editor script. I could see “update file” option when I am changing anything. Is there any help you could give, will be a boon for me.

  For security reasons, we don’t allow directly editing theme files when you’re using a WordPress.com theme. However:

  1. You can use child themes or other methods to achieve the result you’re looking for.
  2. You’ll see the option to edit theme files when/if you use a third-party theme.
