“file type does not meet security guidelines”
-
I keep getting this “file type does not meet security guidelines” message when I try to upload a new photo for my WP profile.
I couldn’t find any “security guidelines” that I think I had violated. I don’t think my MacBook has been corrupted by a virus or anything. The file type is JPEG–the photo was saved as JPEG and the file name ends with “.jpg” and I’ve uploaded this same photo (for profiles, avatars, etc.) on probably a dozen websites with no problem.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions you can offer me.

Are they iPhoto images? If so, use the “export function on the file menu in iPhoto and export the images to your desktop and then upload that image. iPhoto does some strange things with images when you edit or adjust them and WordPress doesn’t seem to like them. If you export them, you shouldn’t have any issues.
