file upload appears to be broken

  Hi, support is unavailable for the weekend, so I’ll ask this here. I went to add a new post to my blog and found that I could not upload a picture — that is, the option to upload was completly missing even though when I go to Manage –> Uploads it says I’ve used only 4% of my 50MB. (That information as well as the upload option is normally on the New Post page but is not there now.) Anyone else experience this or have a clue as to why it would happen?

  What browser and browser version are you using?

  I’m using Firefox 1.5.0.3 on a Linux box. And everything was working just fine up to yesterday.

  Check to see if you’ve got iframes blocked for some reason. That’s usually the cause. Either that or Javascript has been turned off. I have Linux boxes but nothing I can access quickly to double check this.

  Well, I’ve done nothing and today the problem has disappeared. My thanks to those who sought to help.

  Oddly, the post I wrote appeared as “private” which I flipped back to “public” today when I was adding a picture to it. I think there is a bug in WP somewhere but I can’t localize it.

  Known issue. I can’t find the other thread on it but folks have reported that it only occurs with Firefox.
