  I recently deleted my site on April 1. Before deletion, I downloaded files of both the media and the articles on my site. But now the files won’t open. How do I convert them to a form that can be opened?

  Hi there!

  Thanks for getting in touch. Just to check, what format did you download your site files in – were they XML files?

  If so XML files can be opened using text editors like Notepad. However, it’ll only display your content in its original state once it’s uploaded to another WordPress site, like this: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-a-sites-content/
