The Appearance-Editor isn’t showing for some reason. I payed the $30 in the belief that I could edit both the css and the php files. Shouldn’t I be able to do that?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

I can see that you’ve purchased the Custom Design upgrade.

I’m afraid that whilst this upgrade allows you to over-ride the CSS on themes, it does not allow you to directly modify the PHP or HTML files on WordPress.com

You can read a bit more about editing CSS with this upgrade here.

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/

If you would like more flexibility with themes, we recommend using WordPress.org, the self-installed version of WordPress:

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. The following link gives an explanation of the differences:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Sorry to hear that the upgrade isn’t what you expected. Please let me know whether you would like to keep it, and any other questions you may have.
