  I’m new to the Blog world and my main page is becoming a little cramped. How can I delete the main page blogs while retaining them in other areas (categories, back issues, etc.) Or is this automatic?

  You can choose how many poats you want to be displayed on your blog’s front page.
  -> dashboard -> options -> reading -> reading options -> blog pages (change the number in the box to reflect the number you want to be displayed on your front page noting that most people choose less than 6) -> click update options -> VOILA!

  Another thing you can do is use the ‘more’ tag within your posts. Place it after the first paragraph for example. What is before the tag is on your home page with a link to read more.

  Okay some good thoughts, BUT what happens to the posts I want to keep that I don’t want on the main page anymore. Do they just fall into their catagories?

  Categories and archives, yes. Everything you post remains accessible somewhere until you choose to delete it.
