Filler text from Archeo theme still showing up on blog page?

Apologies as the blog is still under construction and has yet to be published. In the images above, the filler text and image is still showing on my blog page. I’ve properly set up my home page, and it allows me to edit the home page. However, I see no option anywhere to edit other pages. I don’t have the option to edit my blog page and get rid of the irrelevant text and images.

Can anyone help me figure out what’s going on?

Nevermind, I think I figured it out. I need to read more before posting!

  • Hi there,

Thanks for letting us know you figured it out.

Just in case it helps – with block themes like Archeo there are two editors:

There’s the Site Editor under Appearance ->Editor. There you can modify page templates for your site, i.e. the blocks that control the overall layout of your site, and of different types of pages on your site. Anything you change on the “Page” template, for example, will change for all pages on the site, so don’t add any content there unless you want it visible on all pages.

Then there’s the Post/Page editor under Posts/Pages ->All/Add New, which you use to create and edit your actual content. This content gets inserted into the template using the placeholder blocks you see in the site editor, so when editing your templates, be careful not to remove those placeholder blocks.

Let us know if we can help with anything else :)
