Filtering posts on different pages
-
hello –
I’ve done some searching but haven’t found an answer to this one.
Is there a way to filter posts (presumably by tag) and have them visible on other pages? For example, I have a blog that is largly a writing exercise/experiment that I am doing. I thought it would be helpful (for me anyway) to start posting other things but, if I do, I would want the expirement on one page and my other random musings on another with the potential for other pages as additional content gets fleshed out..
If the filtering idea is less than ideal, would it be possible to have another blog show up on a page instead? That might be another way to accomplish the same thing.
Any thoughts anyone has would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance

We can’t give you ANY background until you follow the instructions in the sticky thread at the very top of the forums marked 8 things to know before posting in the WP.com forums.

Actually, I did.
1 – I have 2 different wordpress.com blogs (one is a main site and the other is the blog in question)
2 – For reference, this is the URL to the blog http://cannedwolf.wordpress.com/. because I have more than one blog, I decided when the accounts were created to NOT make my name a link to the blog.
3 – I searched the Support section
4 – I searched the forums
5 – I believe the request was polite
6 – And specific
7 – I was aware before I posted that people on the forum were volunteers
8 – I am well aware that the tool is free. I was not demanding or complaning. I believe I asked politely and explained what it was I wanted to do.
Of all of the 8 things I must know before posting, the URL for the blog was the only thing missing (which was asked on the posting page and I honestly thought would be available on the post itself – I apologize for not including it manually).
Now that I have provided the URL, is my question possible to accomplish?

You would use categories to organize your blog into “writing exercise” and “other writing.” In your theme (which is one reason it is useful for us to see your blog), this trick of making a navigation tab link to the category pages.
