finalising transfer of a domain

Hi there
I want to transfer my domain to another registrar.
I have gone through the whole procedure, and got to this bit:Under Domain Settings, find the line starting with Authorization Code, and click on Email my code. A confirmation will pop up – click on Send to have the code delivered to the email address you entered when you registered the domain.
I did this – bit no email appeared. I fear the email address I entered when I first set the site up is not the one I now use – as the only email addresses I now use are associated with the domain (eg, (email visible only to moderators and staff)). The others are all defunct and I no longer use them or remember them.
What do I do now?
