Finally, true support

I wasted more than 15 hours just to learn where to start through trial and error. All the “humor” comments in the where to start pages, combined with randomly placed comments like “we learned this earlier” when I had not even seen the instructions before served only to confuse me as a worldpress ‘beginner’ and really was not serving a purpose. Specific information and the “how to” video covered exactly what I needed. Will now try to use that and other info you provided in your support email and see if I can move forward. Lost the first 5 days of the trial but maybe this will make up for it. Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

So, is there a specific question here? The reason you have not received support previously is, you have not asked any questions in the support forums, as you can see: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/nicrmarketing

Timethief: The first two links are not making sense. When you start reading downline, various areas are covering things not in order of learning curve. They start to explain then wander off to comments about things “we previously covered” , not the how to from step one to step two to step three, etc. Whereas the video I was sent talks aboy and shows by example. When I go to something as simple as How do I change the info (text) in a contact section because I now need to adjust that info and have cruised the suggested menus with still no answer after searching different topics for more than 2 hours for something that should only take a few minutes. I asked about making “links” work, again after about an hour for something that should only take a couple of minutes and still not happening. I tried highlighting both in text and in visual. And yes, raincoaster I have asked several specific questions over the past several days, outside of the community and not one response today. If I am doing that wrong then tell me where to go, in a nice way please. My patience is really wearing tin on what I would think are very simple task. Thank you.

Well, don’t ask outside of the community. The support pages and the forum are here to provide you answers. Don’t ask people who give you the wrong answers.

As I indicated, this is the very first time you have contacted the community which exists here providing correct answers 24/7. If someone else is giving you the wrong answers, stop asking them. And it’s not OUR problem.

If you have a specific technical issue, put the “nut” term in the Support search http://en.support.wordpress.com/ and if you can’t find any information at all, create a new post here in the forum.

Simple solution to such a rude response (Not our problem). Can you just provide me the correct way to cancel my trial or can someone in the community? Even that process is EXTREMELY confusing, without response and apparently not working through the ‘system’ as I tried yesterday to do on 3 separate occasions. Obviously I do not understand the role of ‘community support’. Thank you in advance. Richard

Cancel your trial of what? Have you tried a search of the Support documents for “Cancel”?

My 14 day trial of WordPress. Twice yesterday and again now tonight. Got to the cancellation form, filled it out and received a reply each time that they would send me a follow up email for cancelling and it would only be available for 12 hours to complete. Never received the follow up email even one time. If it is not completed they will charge my account $99 on Oct 3rd. Also bought a theme (Magazine) for $80 and have tried to request a refund (good for 30 days) and that form just sets with no place to fill anything out. I may not have the expertise in blogging you and others have but I was really putting forth and effort to learn after years of building maybe 100 websites with good success. Now just feel a major company is just giving me a runaround. Surely there is someway to get a link, an email address or direct customer support to resolve the cancellation and refund. Again, thanks for your reply. Richard
