Good afternoon,
Can anyone advise the financial liability with WordPress business plans? I am currently looking to swap our company website over to a WordPress platform, but can someone advise if there is a minimum 12 month period etc? As much information regarding this would be appreciated.

All WordPress.com plans are annual subscriptions, meaning you pay for a year up front, and the plan has to be renewed yearly. Automatic renewal is enabled by default, though you can switch that off once your plan is past the refund period. Otherwise renewals are processed a month before the plan expires. We have a 30 day refund period on all plans, but do not offer pro-rated refunds beyond that period.

If instead you are thinking of using the open source WordPress software, that software is available for free on the WordPress.org website. To use that software you’ll either need to run your own server, or set up a hosting account at a provider whose setup supports using that software. The cost and renewal arrangement in that case will be determined by the specific hosting provider and type of hosting plan you choose.
