  after activating a disqus account through wordpress and creating a disqus password, I can no longer find my wordpress account. please help. the blog url below is a very old and unused one and the one I’m working on I can’t locate.

  Hello – Since you are describing activating a plugin, it appears you are writing about a site on the self-hosted side of WordPress (better know as WordPress.org). Plugins are not available for installation and activation on WordPress.com. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
