Find out if a domain is expired

  A member of our church purchased a domain for our website a few years ago, but he no longer attends, and I think the domain might have expired. He isn’t answering emails — is there some way I can find out the status of our domain, and hopefully renew it? (we still have the username and password)

  None of the sites in your account has ever had domains attached to them. In order to help with this we will need to know what domain you are referring to.

  It’s actually not in my account, but the account of the person who set it up — this is part of the problem, sadly.

  That domain is neither registered nor hosted with WordPress.com. If you have a WordPress site at that domain it is using the self-hosted WordPress.org software.

  That domain is registered with register4less.com, so you’ll need to get in touch with them regarding ownership of or renewing the domain. The domain has been registered with them since 2012.

  And the site at that domain appears to be hosted by https://www.canadianwebhosting.com/, so you’ll need to contact them regarding gaining control of the site itself.
