Find out who “owns” a site

Hi @generouslystudentb7dd62aa66,
To help you identify and close down this site, I need the site’s domain name or URL first.
Once you provide that, you can try:
1. Check if it’s on WordPress.com: Add
/.well-known/hosting-providerto the end of the URL (e.g.,example.com/.well-known/hosting-provider)2. Check domain registration: Use WHOIS lookup at https://lookup.icann.org/ – this may show registration details and email
3. Check hosting provider: Use https://www.whoishostingthis.com/ to see where it’s hosted
If the site is on WordPress.com: Once you share the site URL, I’ll tag this with modlook so WordPress.com staff can help verify ownership. Staff will need:
- Proof that you’re authorized to access the account on behalf of your firm
- The site URL
- Any information about when/who might have created it
Important: For security reasons, staff will need to verify you have legitimate claim to the site before providing account access.
Please share the site URL so we can help further!
