Find popular blogs

Hello everybody,
i know there is a search engine in wordpress, which can list results according to relevancy and time, however not by popularity.
So what can I do if I want to find popular or often read posts or blogs? Given the large amount of posts about any topic, I feel it would make much more sense to be able to find often read posts. -

Have you tried blogs of the day? WordPress has a special formula that ranks the top posts of the day. I am sure you will find some of the most popular blogs on that page.

this is helpful. Unfortuantely, there is no way of filtering those popular posts by tags. I just want to find the most popular posts or blogs on learning chinese, is there really now way to do this?

No there is no way that I know of to locate the most popular blogs in Chinese by tags in BOTD which is what darneldibbles provided above.

if I understand correctly, it is not possible to rank the results according to their popularity, instead of recency. The search by tags just gives me the most recent posts. The problem is, that there are so many to any topic, which is why I would like to list them by popularity.
