  I have a list of stored points. I want to input a new point, find the nearest stored point and display information about that stored point.

  Doesn’t sound like anything that can be addressed here at WordPress.com. We can’t add any coding to our sites to create such a function. See the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:
