find words or phrases on a page

  some of my pages are quite long, containing tables of songs. Is there a widget or something, that can help visitors to find what they want. Something like a find gadget in a word processor.

  You can use the Search widget that returns results from the titles and the bodies of your posts and pages.

  I tried it. It leads me to the page where the search item is on and one needs to click on “continue reading” to get to the page.

  My pages are lists and they are quite long, and one still needs to find the item on the page.

  Ideally, I would like to be taken to the search item and it to be highlighted like the find gadget in a word processor.

  You’re welcome. As far as I know, this is the only way to search within a WordPress.com site.

  Do you know the process of telling this to the smart people who decide what’s available within wordpress?

  I am surprised that something simple? like this is not in the collection of widgets.
