finding a blog

  Someone ‘liked’ my most recent post, and I would like to connect with her, but how do I find her based on her ‘like’ which includes her gravatar?

  Hi –

  Click on Reader in the upper left corner of your screen. Then choose the “search” option from the left hand side of the screen. Type the username in to the box, hit enter. Any posts they’ve written on WordPress.com under that account will be resulted. You can check their site then for any contact details.

  Thanks for the help. I actually used google to find the blog — it was much quicker and easier to do it there than to try and find the blogger on wordpress.

  I’m glad you found them.

  I do want to note, though (mostly for the sake of anyone else looking for this information), it is the choice of individual WordPress.com users whether or not they want to link a site to their username in order for it to be found when they follow, like or comment on sites. If someone chooses not to link a site to their username, and their site settings are such that the site cannot be found in Google or in a Reader search, then we cannot disclose that information on request either.

  Many people use WordPress.com exclusively to read and comment on sites without owning sites themselves, so in some cases there won’t even exist a site for a particular username.
