Finding a bloggers blog
-
This seems so simple I have to be missing an obvious something.
A current user (I’m assuming) “liked” a post of mine. I clicked on their link but only got “gravatar” information (this has _never_ been useful to me). What I want to do is get to that persons blog, to look at their posts, and share a bit of love (in the form of a “like”).
However, when I go to the front page of WordPress, I can’t find a “search” feature that will allow me to find this person and (again) the only information I have from their “like” is the very unuseful gravatar information.
And sorry for hating on gravatar … I’m sure I just don’t know how to leverage it!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but that’s the way it works re: gravatars being linked to Gravatar profile pages. Only our usernames are linked to our primary blogs.

Gravatar accounts are available universally to all who wish to register one. They aren’t only for WordPress.com bloggers and we have trouble with fake followers and like button clickers who simply click so their gravatar appears and our readers are channeled back to their commercial blogs. Thanks for the information but I’m sorry for focusing on the gravatar issue … completely a footnote and not one I wish to solve today! <g> I do appreciate WordPress protecting me from folks just “liking” to drum up business to their sites.
Can you help me find a blogger based just on their user name? In my specific case, “Selma Ramos liked your post <blah>” and I’m just trying to see her blog. Am I missing a basic search/find feature?

I’m having the same problem Joe. Even want to look up the blog of the same person but can’t even get the gravatar. Something is missing from the WordPress notification page and I hope they fix it soon. I like to know who is following me. Christopher O’Connor. aussiedogblog.com

Selma Ramos is just another Like spammer with a website not of WordPress. Come on WordPress… Give site owners the tools to stop this virus.

It is entirely possible that people have gravatars but NOT blogs. Generally if people want to be found, they make it easy by linking their name to their blog, not their Gravatar account.
