Finding categorized blog posts

I made a menu at the top of my front page on the header with different categories such as food, faith and inspiration, etc. I would like the blog posts I write to be able to be found in their coordinating categories that I have made. For instance if I post a recipe, I would like someone to be able to find it simply by going to the “food” category on the drop down category menu I made, and looking on that page for it. I made categories, but don’t know how to get certain posts to be put on a certain categories page. I hope that makes sense. When I think I’m doing it, none of my blog posts link to the category I put it under and it just ends up showing me all of my posts on a page that says uncategorized. Getting really frustrated.

The only categories that you’ve presently assigned to posts are “Food & Gifts” and “What I’m Wearing” (1 post each). That’s one issue, because a category must be assigned to at least one post in order to appear in the corresponding category page.
You evidently made the links in the menu incorrectly. You may either start from scratch (i.e. delete them all), delete and replace the links one at a time, or correct the Link URLs one at a time. You might start with the menu items for the two categories I’ve mentioned above since even if the other menu items were properly linked, they wouldn’t link to anything because those category pages don’t yet exist.
