Finding comments I've made/responses
-
Hello!
My account, gravatar, all that – it’s all set up. All my comments are linked to me, have my profile pic. But there’s no option under reader to view them, or get notified in reader about responses? Surely that’s an option, so how do I go about it?
Similarly, is there a way to avoid having to type my username/e-mail every time I want to respond to a comment?
Thanks kindly..!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, the blog I need help with is NOT my own blog; it’s others blogs where I’m commenting. And there’s no way to edit my own post?

Hi there!
My account, gravatar, all that – it’s all set up. All my comments are linked to me, have my profile pic. But there’s no option under reader to view them, or get notified in reader about responses? Surely that’s an option, so how do I go about it?
In the WordPress.com Reader, there’s a section on the left sidebar called Conversations which lets you see a list of posts that you’ve liked or commented on. It’s a great way to keep track of the posts/comments you’ve left on other WordPress.com or Jetpack-connected sites.
When someone replies to a comment, you will get a notification on your WordPress.com account (in the notification area), but this will only happen when the site you’re commenting on is either hosted on WordPress.com or it is using the WordPress.com comment system powered by Jetpack. Not all WordPress sites are connected to WordPress.com. (There are some differences between WordPress.com and the WordPress.org software. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it well: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org. )
So if you’re not receiving notifications for replies, the site in question may not be a WordPress.com site or it may not be using the WordPress.com comment system. (You can share the link with us and we can check.)
Similarly, is there a way to avoid having to type my username/e-mail every time I want to respond to a comment?
For as long as you’re logged in to your WordPress.com account, you will not be asked to fill in those fields while leaving a comment on a WordPress.com site (Or a WordPress.org site that’s using the WordPress.com comment system). For self-hosted WordPress.org sites that aren’t using the WordPress.com comment system, it won’t work since those sites are different and cannot recognize your WordPress.com account when you go to the comment system.
If you’re logged in and you are still having to type your name/email on a WordPress.com account, please share the address of the site and we’ll be happy to look into that further.

aisajib,
Thanks kindly for your response! Firstly…
the WordPress.com Reader, there’s a section on the left sidebar called Conversations
Entirely empty, unfortunately. Which makes me think the site in question is not actually a WP site – any further clarification would help. The site in question is here, and if you’ve got any knowledge on what I need to do to be ‘logged in’ for purposes of commenting and keeping track of replies, I’d be grateful. Any further replies are appreciated, best..!

Hello there,
https://www.handbookofheroes.com/ looks to be a self-hosted WordPress site and not with WordPress.com, so it wouldn’t necessarily appear in the WordPress.com reader.
For notifications for follow up comments you may need to liaise with the website owner about that. I would imagine that would require some kind of account creation/forum functionality built into the site.
I hope this is useful.

aleone89,
Not exactly the answer I wanted to hear, and disappointing, but I’m glad to have it resolved, either way. Thanks kindly to you and aisajib for the assist, and I’m going t mark this as resolved!
