Finding my colour codes

  • Unknown's avatar

I am having a mental block and I cant find the colour codes that I have used for the font in my blog.

I want to use the codes so that I can replicate the colours in business cards/advertising etc.
I know that the dark red colour I use for text is #660000 as its easy to find when I use the ‘text’ option rather than the ‘visual’ option when I edit a page. How can I easily find out what the colour codes are for my headings, background colour etc?

I realise there will be an incredibly simple answer of where to look but I have wasted a couple of hours and still cant find it.

Many thanks in advance for a very frustrated and clueless wordpress newbie.

Here’s a useful guide to exploring your theme’s CSS rules. Try following their instructions for your browser to find the hex codes you need.

Thank you! I had got this far and opened a whole load of CSS but was unable to distinguish what was related to what – I was right clicking on the page as a whole, rather than the section I needed to examine. Result.

Thanks so much for your help.
