Finding my site on google?

    I’ve been creating my site – sortmywardrobe.co.uk

    How long will it take for me to appear on google. Do I need to pay for hosting? Where do I insert words to help with search engine optimisation?

    malini101,

    It could take a month for your site to appear on goggle. WordPress.com is self-hosted; unless you have someone personally help you host it.

    Your active site is located at sortmywardrobedotcodotuk.wordpress.com which has had 2 posts published so far in December.

    If you want search engines to catch up to you, you need to post regularly and relatively frequently. Even then, as toniaslimm said, it can take 4-6 weeks for them to crawl your site.     @toniaslimm – “Self-hosted” means that a person has set up a site using the standalone WP software on 3rd party hosting, such as GoDaddy Bluehost, Dreamhost, HostGator and the like. Self-hosted sites are not hosted here on WordPress.com. Hope that helps.
