Finding my website
-
Hi I have registered a new domain: vanandrew.com so that I am easy to find as a new author. However, I can’t see it on google, or the name of the website ‘Corner of the eye’.
I’ve only done this today, so does it take 24 hours ? Is it a case of changing the url if so how?
Also , when I am in my site admin and change pages, the background image bleeds through, creating a wonderful effect. However, when I view the site, this doesn’t happen. How can I get this great effect to be permanent?
Thanks Van AndrewThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your domain is working correctly, so that’s the good news.
As for the domain showing up in Google search results it takes some time for Google to index your site. Here’s a bit more info about how search engines interact with your site.

That’s just a side effect of how the customizer loads previewed content. It’s a way to let you know it’s still thinking. Your page loads on your main site are faster, so there is no way to duplicate that effect.

Thanks for the info. Pity about the bleed thro effect not being repeatable on main site. It’s great!
